Davis has a warm vibe felt all over campus and beyond, and we want not only to be a part of it, but to give back and to participate in volunteering that enriches everyone involved. We ourselves have a busy schedule and experience the same shortcomings you do when trying to become more active in the community. Most of all, we understand that it is difficult to commit your time to volunteer work. But we're here to help you with that - it's our specialty!
Our vision is to make volunteering work for busy people like you. If you have some time free up randomly, or if you want to plan around an event in advance, we offer a variety of local opportunities on our Volunteer Schedule. We share all of opportunities in a consistent format so that your experience is optimized to help you find the best event for you. The only things you have to worry about are contacting the organization to notify them of your interest and showing up! For the most part, we offer limited commitment community service events, providing a great introduction to the great causes and missions of our partners.
There is no feeling like volunteering - you feel accomplished, grateful, and genuinely fulfilled in the way you spent your time. Our goal is to bring this fulfillment to others and encourage more people help those around them. This community has given us so much, it is about time we gave something back!
Davis is the "Biking Capital of America", and home to more bikes than residents. This is a typical bike-specific roundabout on UC Davis' campus.
The Farmer's Market takes place every Wednesday night and Saturday morning. Best known for its honey and fresh apple juice, the community convenes in celebration of each other every week in the heart of the city.
